Welcome to my blog!

Firstly, thank you so much for being here and reading this it is wonderful to have you here. Secondly, let me introduce myself to you properly, I'm Lotty Holder a theatre producer and playwright, I'm currently 22, I'm dyslexic and from a working class home in Shropshire. Now that the basic boring stuff is out of the way let's get into why we're both here. I'm super passionate about my work and the theatre industry in general (as you may have guessed) but I also recognise that it can be a really intimidating and sometime secretive place where people don't know where to start or what to do to break into it. With this blog I want to help demystify the role of a producer, talk through affordable or free ways of getting training and experience, give advice on how to write a killer cover letter as well as share the projects I have coming up that I'm super excited about (and maybe even give out some cheeky discounts to my mailing list).
